Hello everyone! While my ma is at work, I want to take this opportunity to blog about something that makes me VERY mad...dressing up! My humans are nuts because they make me wear Halloween costumes, sports bandanas and ties. Although, when I wear them, I do get more pets and treats because I look so cute!
But not all doggie clothes are just for show. According to the Wall Street Journal, there are certain breeds (like me) that don't have a thick undercoat to keep them warm during the winter. Plus, if you live in an area that gets as cold as Buffalo does, it's probably a good idea to sport a coat so you don't freeze your tail off - literally!
The good news is that if you're pup is stuck having to wear clothes, at least make them cool! There are lots of sporty duds for the MLB, NFL, NCAA and more! My favorites are my Indianapolis Colts threads.
If your fur-person hates wearing clothes (like me), then here's a training video to help them adjust. This really didn't work on me - I'm usually dressed against my will!

I know that some people think dogs wearing clothes is ridiculous. However, I think they look adorable and as you said, certain breeds really do need a coat to keep warm in winter. I have seen some "designer duds" that are a little over the top, but a basic coat or sweater, or a costume at Halloween -- now that's cute!
I picked out a witch hat for Bailey for Halloween. Her father had HER dressed up one year at a construction worker! Guess he couldn't get the costume on the cat! Poor Bailey.
